Our new shop
We opened our brand new, much larger shop on Tuesday 3rd November. We are delighted that the business is continuing to thrive, despite the hardest of challenges in 2020, and we thank all of our customers for supporting us and allowing it to happen.
We are expanding
We are expanding into new premises! We are at exactly the same location in Yoxall but occupying a much larger space and adding an exciting new delicatessen to our food range. We are hoping to launch late Autumn but, of course, we'll keep you posted.
Supporting Dementia in Yoxall
Our wonderful village of Yoxall is striving to become 'dementia friendly'. This includes all the local businesses undertaking training to help and support affected customers who visit us. We are so proud to be a part of this! Yoxall residents are also completing a Memory Walk in aid of The Alzheimer's Society and we would love for you to join us! Sunday 15th September at 1.30pm at the National Memorial Arboretum. Email david@harrison2.net for details.
National Butchers' Week - 11th March 2019
We were delighted to mark this auspicious occasion with our very own sausage competition where customers were invited to suggest their dream sausage flavour. Our winner, Laura Hudson of Barton under Needwood, received one of our wonderful Family Packs and the first batch of her chosen sausages! Her idea was to create pulled pork sausages which have proved incredibly popular ever since!
Shortlisted for Countryside Alliance Awards - butchers category
We were overwhelmed at having been shortlisted as Midlands finalists in the Countryside Alliance Awards - Butcher category. In celebration of the British countryside, the awards have been around for 14 years and are known as 'Rural Oscars' - announced annually in the Houses of Parliament no less. We didn't win but were commended which made us very proud after just 6 months of trading. Thank you to everyone who voted for us.
Family Pack launched
In January 2019 we launched a brand new concept of a fresh, locally sourced, affordable, extremely high quality Family Pack of meat and poultry. No matter what size family you have, you can enjoy a range of carefully selected products designed for variety and inspired meal planning. We even have a range of recipe cards on our website that back up each and every product we pick. Contents change every 2-3 weeks.
